My streetlight is out! What should I do?

- Please dial (309)434-1547 and be prepared with the street address closest to the light and the pole number (if you are able to find it). You can leave the information on the streetlight voicemail or speak to the office staff. You can also email the information to engineer@
- Please tell us if there is a single light out or if several are out. We will report these streetlights to either Ameren Illinois or Corn Belt Energy, the two local utility companies. A list of streetlight outages will be sent to the utility companies every Monday. It is the utility companies’ goal to replace burned out streetlights within five (5) working days of receiving the notification. This timeframe is weather dependent.
- If the problem is greater than just a burned out bulb, a technician will be assigned to repair the light within four weeks. This timeframe is weather dependent.
- Also notify us if a light is on all the time. The daylight sensor may be malfunctioning and should be repaired.
